Bio-Meat: Nectar è un manga creato da Yùky Fujisawa.
La serie è stata pubblicata sul Weekly Shonen Champion (Akita Shoten) dal 2000 al 2004, ed è completa.
Questa è l'unica traduzione in italiano esistente della serie.
Bio-Meat: Nectar viene definito come "horror",ma è più un manga di azione e sopravvivenza; nonostante la serie conti 12 volumi, per un totale di 105 capitoli (che tradurrò, settimanalmente, dal primo all'ultimo), la serie sembra molto corta, perchè molto intensa.
Se siete stufi di leggere capitoli inutili, quasi "filler", infilati tra un momento d'azione e l'altro, così comuni nei manga shounen, Bio-Meat è il manga che fa per voi.
Non troverete capitoli che potrebbero essere "saltati" tranquillamente, ognuno ha un suo apporto alla storia, quando l"azione" è finita, ecco un bel salto temporale che ci riporta al momento in cui torna in campo.
E' molto interessante l'evoluzione di ogni personaggio della storia e l'interazione che li collega tra loro.
Io, personalmente, ve lo consiglio vivamente.

Trama:

Qualche nota sulla storia; ambientato in un futuro non troppo lontano,(molto vicino ai giorni nostri; niente di super-futuristico) l'umanità, che ormai è aumentata di numero in modo esponenziale; ha delle crescenti difficoltà a procurarsi cibo sufficiente a nutrire tutti ed a liberarsi dell'enorme quantità di spazzatura prodotta da quest'enorme ammontare di esseri umani.
Ma ecco che la scienza trova una soluzione ad entrambi i problemi, un animale creato dalla bio-ingegneria, che sopravvive mangiando la spazzatura; anzi, per la precisione, mangiando qualsiasi cosa.
Quest'animale viene nutrito con la spazzatura, si replica ad una velocità impressionante e viene ucciso per nutrire l'umanità, ecco che quindi il problema è risolto.
La storia ha inizio a Tokyo, anni dopo la creazione di questo "Bio-Meat" (letteralmente, "Bio-Carne"), quando, accidentalmente, questi animali, sempre affamati, trovano la via per la libertà, iniziando a circolare liberamente e mangiando tutto ciò che trovano.
Inutile dire che l'umanità stessa è sul "menu"..

manga bellissimo opera di un mangaka di sicuro successo e per quanto riguarda l'opera di traduzione ed edit non ci sono parole.
Per velocità, precisione nella traduzione, qualità delle scan, secondo me è il miglior lavoro degli ultimi anni.

Spero di poter leggere altri lavori dello stesso mangaka.
